THAILAND FOR ME WAS A DANGEROUS, hexagram 17 FOLLOWING, line 5
°Nine in the fifth place means: Sincere in the good. Good fortune. Every man must have something he follows— something that serves him as a lodestar. He who follows with conviction the beautiful and the good may feel himself strengthened by this saying.
I lived there a long time, but I will only give a brief summary. I moved to Thailand because I had health problems and wanted to rest and sort them out.
I learned Thai and tried to settle in, but somehow it did not work out, no matter how hard I tried.
When I arrived, I was relatively rich; when I left, I was skint. All the business I did were profitable at first, but ran into bad luck. My health did not improve much either.
I am not saying Thailand is a bad place, just that it was not the right place for me.
I went there because it was easy, and given what I now know about this line, this was my big mistake. I should have taken more trouble to check other locations. Now I live in Cambodia which has been more lucky for me.
