here are four basic types of people.

Dominant

These people like to take charge and get other people to follow their instructions.

Compliant

Peaceful and receptive. They work steadily and are good when they have been shown what to do.

Active

Active people are always busy and making plans. They get things done quickly. While the dominant control the board, the active are the players.

Independent

These are the strangest people and never quite fit in with everyone else, even though they might want to. This group are made up of inventors, and all major inventions and innovations originate from their ranks.

The general population places great value on consensus and credentials. Most see this as the most reliable and expedient way to establish truth. Independent people do not agree and believe only in what they see and verify for themselves. This is why they can come up with original ideas and others cannot.

The bottom always defines whether the figure is yin or yang. The same is true of the trigrams.

How do I spot who is who?

Dominant people are always giving orders. If not, then they are using charm to manipulate. If they are good people, this is good; if not, a disaster!

Compliant people are stay-at-home types who like comfort. They do what they are told and don't make a fuss. They are the ones who do most of the work.

Active people are always surrounded by others and getting things done together. They work for powerful people and can become powerful themselves. These are the people who ensure that things get done.

Independent people spend a lot of time alone and think a lot. They have creative imaginations that allow them to find new concepts. They bathe in ideas and will put them into practice if they can. Most don't work out well, and people laugh at them, but if they persist, they will come up with a winner in the end and have the last laugh.

 

Everyone is one of these and one only.
